Michelle Malkin posts disturbing information about Abdul Rahman, a man on trial in Kabul, Afghanistan for converting from Islam to Christianity. He faces the death penalty if convicted.
Hebrews 13:3 Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.
Christians should keep this situation in prayer, remembering it as often as they would if they were in prison with Brother Rahman.
- We should pray that Abdul's faith in Jesus Christ will remain strong as denies himself, takes up his cross and follows the Lord (Matthew 16:24).
- We should pray that the leaders there will govern in such a way that the believers "may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way," as will promote the spread of the gospel (1 Timothy 2:2). Pray that they would grant Abdul freedom to live and believe as a Christian. Pray Abdul would be set free.
- If Abdul loses his life, we should pray that his blood will water the seed of the gospel in Afghanistan and his courage will strengthen the heart of the church in Afghanistan.
