A Palm Sunday Hymn - Psalm 24

Here is a text that I wrote several years ago that looks at Psalm 24 through its fulfillment in Christ. It may be fitting to sing on Palm Sunday.

The tune is "Adeste Fildeles
" (O Come, All Ye Faithful). I picked this tune because I love it and wanted an opportunity to sing it more often.

Psalm 24 (The Earth Is the Lord's)

The earth is the Lord’s and all who dwell upon it,
For He is the King of the Land and the Sea.
Let all the peoples come and praise their Maker!
Who is this Sovereign Maker?
Who is this Sovereign Maker?
Who is this Sovereign Maker?
Christ the Lord!
But how can we worship? Who can stand before Him?
For how can a heart stained with sin be made clean?
See! Our Creator comes as our Redeemer!
Who is this Great Redeemer?
Who is this Great Redeemer?
Who is this Great Redeemer?
Christ the Lord!
The Lord is almighty! Strong is He in battle!
Now death is defeated and sin is atoned.
He goes before us as our Mighty Warrior!
Who is this Mighty Warrior?
Who is this Mighty Warrior?
Who is this Mighty Warrior?
Christ the Lord!
O, Lift up your heads, you gates and ancient doorways!
O, Open the gates! Let His glory come in!
Maker, Redeemer, Warrior, King of Glory!
Who is this King of Glory?
Who is this King of Glory?
Who is this King of Glory?
Christ the Lord!
