A Pardon for Billy the Kid

A quick look at the books written about Billy the Kid on Amazon.com is enough to show that he is a popular figure in American history, possibly the most famous outlaw of the wild west.

Will his status as "outlaw" change? According to an Op-Ed in the New York Times, outgoing New Mexico governor, Bill Richardson, is holding a hearing to consider a pardon for the long deceased cop-killer.
