Andrew Peterson: Concert in Cedar Rapids

Andrew Peterson will be making a stop in Cedar Rapids on October 8 as part of his tour to promote his new album Counting Stars.

If you're in the area, you'll want to attend (details here). I'm excited to hear him live for the first time.

We were introduced to him though his Wingfeather Saga books, On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness and North! Or Be Eaten. Three little boys stayed up way past their bedtimes begging for "another chapter" with these books -- and not because they simply didn't want to sleep. They're humorous, gripping, suspenseful tales. (What else would you expect? What with the toothy cows and all.)

In my opinion, Andrew is one of the best lyricists writing today (period, in any genre).

Our kids love his Slugs & Bugs & Lullabies album.

Behold the Lamb of God is a Christmas album that still brings tears to my eyes in August, after listening to it a hundred times.

A friend recently loaned me Carried Along, which has played almost non-stop in my JEEP and provided comfort in hard days.

Besides these, he has several other albums:
Here's a taste of Andrew's newest album:
